Running outside is a great way to change up your workout routine from treadmills and ellipticals to fresh air and pretty scenery. The beauty of running outside is that you don't have to have a pricey membership to do it and you can do it no matter where you live - so no excuses!
When I run outside, I run for three miles and then either do a 20 minute HIIT or Pilates workout back at home followed by some serious stretching for my less-than-flexible back and hamstrings. When the weather dips below freezing and I'm not on campus, I opt for an at home cardio workout with strength training.
I've include some of my favorite workout videos from FitnessBlender that I use when I'm not at the gym that you can do virtually ANYWHERE! From a hotel room to a dorm to your very own living room - these workouts are the perfect way to remain consistent.
